Kevin Shields 1980

Comments: Kevin Shields lost his fight with cancer on the morning of Thursday, May 14th, 2009. Kevin, age 47 at the time, was a professional Nuclear Engineer working at the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant in Monticello, MN. Kevin graduated from Iowa State University and began his career in the Nuclear Power Industry. He worked at several different Nuclear power plants in Michigan and Minnesota. He was very active in his church, a volunteer and supporter of numerous charitable organizations. Kevin lived in Mitchell throughtout his childhood and his parents still reside in Mitchell today. Kevin's siblings live in Sioux Falls (Tom, Pat) and Minneapolis (Steve, Kate).

Comments: I regret that I won't be able to make it to the 30 year reunion because I'm getting married this weekend. We plan to be gone for a week on our honeymoon, and after that we're pretty well tapped out for the next couple months. It is unfortunate but we have put a lot of planning in to this and it works out better for both our families.

Comments: I sort shells for Precision Reloading from Boyds. I operate a sealing machine and seal bags of parts for Hendrick. I fold end caps for Toshiba and various other jobs as they come. I am currently into drawing and have submitted some drawings to the "Dream" conference and have been accepted. Will have some drawings on display at the conference in Sioux Falls in June.

I still enjoy a little fishing now and then when I get the chance.

Comments: It's getting closer to the time, hard to believe that it's been 30 years. Well I've been pretty busy with myself, in 1981 I joined the National Guards and spent 16 years in there. I'm married to a wonderful gal her name is Priscilla. I had a girl and a boy from a previous marriage and I have a boy and a girl with Priscilla. I still live in Mitchell and I manage Parts World. I've been there since 1985, I sell the good parts off of wrecked cars. I also work for Dicks Body Shop, I do their towing, I've done that since 1986. I also work for the American Legion, I bartend on Monday nights when I'm not on Wrecker call. Can't wait to catch up with everyone at the reunion. It will be fun chating with everyone that I haven't talked to in 30 years.
